Short version: we collect as little as possible.

• Signup list: when you join the list we store your email address so we can contact you with future updates and, once available, the newsletter. We don’t sell it or share it with advertisers. You can unsubscribe at any time.
• Analytics: we use lightweight, cookieless analytics to understand which pages are useful. We don’t build advertising profiles of readers.
• Content: our reporting is based on public official records.

Operator Gmail report reader

Lake Wylie 411 Mail Reader is a private tool for our operator to receive and review local research reports. It is not a reader signup feature. The operator explicitly authorizes read-only Gmail access. Google grants that permission for the whole authorized mailbox; it does not allow this tool to send, delete, or modify email.

The intake program selects expected Lake Wylie scout reports and uses their sender, subject, date, message identifier, body, and source links to prepare editorial research. We retain report copies and processing records to avoid duplicate work and support source verification. Reports remain research material until reviewed for publication.

Report content may be processed by our Hermes hosting service and configured AI inference provider for research assistance. We do not sell Gmail data, use it for advertising, or use it to train our own general-purpose AI models. Access credentials are stored separately from report exports and are not included in published content.

The operator can revoke access through their Google Account connections at any time. To request deletion of stored report copies or ask about this processing, contact us using the address below. Revoking Google access stops future retrieval; it does not automatically delete previously stored copies.
