Fuel station and car wash proposed at Dam Road and Highway 160
The county is being asked to relax its driveway-spacing rule so the project can go in at the southeastern corner.
A developer wants to build a fuel station with a car wash at the southeastern corner of Dam Road and Highway 160, and has asked York County to waive the minimum distance it normally requires between driveways.
The request is on file as Land Development Waiver W26-3, submitted by Kevin Garton of the engineering firm Bolton & Menk on the applicant's behalf. It seeks relief from §154.111-1, the county ordinance that sets how far apart driveways must be spaced.
The waiver went before the York County Planning Commission on its June 8 agenda.
